The series "Just Dance! ..." is made up of
twenty-four canvases, though only thirteen of
the paintings are shown here. When taken
together it's a kind of extended memorial, all of
them belonging in a harrowing and kilter-less
sense to my late older brother, gone from the
world now at the hands of outrageous violence.
Each painting, while none was planned with
precision nor launched with much conscious
thought, represents the separate, compelling
aspects of a fine mind, an honorable life and
the lighter parts of his character, along with his
tremendous humor.
