"West" is a series of paintings the painter composed during a time he lived in the East but
craved to return to the deserts and mountains of the West that he admired, loved and
knew so well. Using the methods of art which he finds most evocative of the imagination,
he recalled for himself the mysterious lands in which he had lived for much of his life.
These paintings have lingered in warehouse storage, clothed in bubble wrap, for more
than a decade and the more he searches the more of them he finds. So this is a series
that's on its way, moving forward, finding new air to breathe every minute. Fourteen of the
paintings are known to be extant but more are sure to reveal themselves as the search
continues.
